Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service (GSS) – Westchester Campus ranks among the nation’s best and largest. Offering one of the top Master of Social Work (MSW) programs nationwide, according to U.S. News & World Report, as well as an online MSW ranked #1 by BestSchools.org. It is known for its flexible, experiential educational environment that can help transform students’ passion for helping others into professional success. Fordham GSS at Westchester is a full service campus that offers courses on weekdays and weekends. The Fordham MSW program prepares students for a fulfilling, diverse, and flexible career as a social worker, direct practice and community-based agencies to research, universities or businesses, or international nongovernment organizations (NGOs). This year marks GSS’s 100 years in social work education and 40 years as part of the Westchester community.

Pleasantville Community Television (PCTV) was established in 1997 to share important topics, ideas, events with the community and surrounding areas, as well as to reflect the wealth of knowledge and interests of the residents, businesses, local government and school district of the Village of Pleasantville. PCTV provides a voice where the community can express its knowledge and interest and in return, inspire, educate and support efforts and causes that are important to them. According to the nonprofit organization, the ability to support public access television will be more challenging over the next few years as cable contracts expire, technology enhancements continue to encourage alternative viewing platforms, and franchise fees are diverted to local government needs. The need to consolidate resources will be all the more important to consider.
