Get the facts to quit smoking and take steps to live cancer-free. If you’re a smoker, or if you’ve ever smoked, you’re at a higher risk for many diseases, including lung cancer. With this type of cancer, by the time you have symptoms, the disease is already more advanced and harder to treat. In addition, smoking and vaping reduce lung capacity and increase the risk and severity of many respiratory infections, such as COVID-19. The good news? Within minutes of smoking your last cigarette, your body begins to recover. In honor of the American Cancer Society’s Great American Smoke-out®, we invite you and to join us for a presentation about our Lung Cancer Screening Program and Free Smoking Cessation Program. Take part in an interactive trivia game to learn strategies for behavior modification and nicotine replacement therapies. What’s more, find out if a lung cancer screening is right for you.
