NYS Senator Harckham Endorses Democrats4New Castle Primary Slate
Says McCall, Morton, Bounds and Weinberg Will Benefit New Castle Residents In Challenging Times

New York State Senator Pete Harckham announced today that he is endorsing the candidacies of Holly McCall for New Castle Town Supervisor; and incumbent Lori Morton, Jennifer Bounds and Michael Weinberg for New Castle Town Board in the upcoming Democratic primary on Tuesday, June 22, 2021.
“Holly, Lori, Jennifer and Michael are dedicated to their community and have worked long and hard on the most important issues of the day,” said Harckham. “Their breadth of experience and understanding in terms of governance will benefit New Castle residents, especially in these challenging times.”
Harckham noted that this group of New Castle leaders has offered strong support on issues like climate crisis, racial inequality, economic inequity, women’s health, gun safety and environmental protection. Over the years, McCall, Morton, Weinberg, and Bounds have participated in countless community projects and events—on the school board, in the PTA, andin different organizations big and small.

“This is a smart, experienced and super-involved team,” Harckham said. “They understand that to achieve our state’s progressive goals we need to do more than change a few laws in Albany. I look forward to partnering with them in the years ahead as they help move New Castle forward.”
