Pharmacy Break-in; Utility Scam; Pedestrian Hit: Mt Kisco Blotter

Here are some of the incidents to which Westchester County police responded in Mount Kisco in the past week:

Friday, Dec. 20 – 12:21 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to a business on South Bedford Road on a report of an employee who was in a highly agitated state. The employee was transported to Northern Westchester Hospital Center for a mental health evaluation.

Thursday, Dec. 19 – 6:51 p.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to a residence on Moore Avenue on a report of a possible attempted break-in. Officers observed damage to the door of an upstairs apartment that appeared to be consistent with an effort to force it open. The case was turned over to detectives for additional investigation.

Tuesday, Dec. 17 – 6:23 p.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to Beverly Road on an activated burglar alarm at a residence. The alarm was set off in error by the homeowner.

6:14 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to the 300 block of Lexington Avenue on a report that a man had been struck by a car. Officers determined that the pedestrian had walked out into the path of an oncoming vehicle and that the driver, who remained at the scene, was not at fault. The pedestrian was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

4:47 p.m. – A village resident came to the Green Street precinct to report that she has been receiving phone calls from a man who claims to work for her utility company. She said the caller insists she send him money or he will turn off her power. The resident was advised the calls are a scam and an officer showed her how to block the caller from contacting her again.

Monday, Dec. 16 – 10:15 p.m. – An officer on patrol observed a broken window at the rear of a pharmacy on East Main Street. He and other officers entered the business and determined that a break-in had occurred. The investigation into the burglary was turned over to detectives and is continuing.

10:55 p.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to Northern Westchester Hospital Center on a report of an irate person there. The man, who was associated with a patient who was being admitted, agreed to leave the premises for the night.
