Mavis Tire in downtown Pleasantville—fully rebounded from a devastating fire in 2011—has germain tips for residents who are aiming to hit the street during the village's next snowfall.

"Check you air pressure, and rotate your tires" exhorts Geno George, the business' manager. And for the uniniated, Mavis can help for free, George added.

George noted snow tires sell swiftly in Pleasantville during the wetter months, and customers aren't limited to plow drivers.

"I'd say about 25-percent of our winter sales are snow tires," George said.
