Polly Cooper Chapter NSDAR Observes Veterans Day
Partners with Moses Taylor Jr. American Legion Post 136 in Mount Kisco

(Mount Kisco, NY) Polly Cooper Chapter, NSDAR presented a wreath during the annual Veterans Day Ceremony hosted by Moses Taylor Jr. American Legion Post 136 on Wednesday, November 11, 2020. “The Legion’s Veterans Day ceremony is an outdoor event that our membership has participated in since our chapter was organized in 2017,” said Kathy Schreiber, Chapter Regent of Polly Cooper, “and we are grateful to still be able to safely honor and remember our nation’s veterans today knowing that active duty personnel themselves do not stop serving during a pandemic.” The chapter has been holding virtual meetings due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The American Legion is a nonprofit organization and Moses Taylor Jr. Post 136 is located in Mount Kisco, New York. Membership is made up of service veterans with honorable discharges. The Legion members continue to serve their community by hosting dinners for disabled veterans as well as fundraising for local charities and scholarships.
