Road Closures Set for Saturday Morning

Several roads in Pleasantville will be closed on Saturday starting at 8 a.m. for the Community-Scholarship Fund of Pleasantville’s 1 K and 5 K races. Drivers can expect road closures, detours and/or short delays on the following roads at the following times:

• Washington Avenue (117 to Edgewood) from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m.
• Washington Avenue (Edgewood Ave to Grandview Ave) from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m.
• Washington Avenue (Pierce Dr to Grandview Ave) from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.
• Manville Road (westbound; Washington Ave to Bedford Rd) from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.
• Bedford Road (between Manville Rd and Pierce Dr) from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.
• Pierce Drive from 9:00 to 10:00 am

In addition to these road closures, Memorial Plaza will be closed to vehicular traffic from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Access to the Pleasantville Diner and to Valvoline Instant Oil Change location will be from the north end of Memorial Plaza only.

All vehicles parked in Memorial Plaza--both the street and the railroad station lot--as well as Washington Avenue, after 6:00 a.m on Saturday morning will be subject to ticketing and towing.
