See Insane Pricetag For Weddings In Westchester/Hudson Valley
Think you can guess the average price of a wedding in Westchester/Hudson Valley? How about in Manhattan? It's higher.

WESTCHESTER, NY — Westchester/Hudson Valley was the fourth-most expensive place to get married last year with a typical wedding costing way more than it would elsewhere in the country, according to a new study. Manhattan topped the list.
The average couple who got married in Westchester/Hudson Valley spent $55,357 on their special day last year, the study said. Across the country, the average cost for 2017 weddings was $33,391, making Westchester almost twice as expensive a spot to tie the knot compared to your typical U.S. nuptials.
And that was low compared to the average couple who got married in Manhattan last year: they spent $76,944 on their special day, the study said.

The staggering price tags were revealed in the annual wedding trends survey released by The Knot on Wednesday. The Knot, a popular wedding planning website, surveyed 13,000 brides and grooms who got married in 2017 to collect and analyze data on newlyweds and their ceremonies.
The top four most expensive areas to get married were all in the New York metropolitan area. After Manhattan, the most expensive spots were North and Central New Jersey, Long Island and Westchester/Hudson Valley.

The average wedding in NYC's outer boroughs cost $46,808 last year, according to the study.
These pricey nuptials shadowed more affordable options in other parts of the country. Couples who got married in New Mexico spent an average of $17,584 last year, making the state the most affordable spot to get married in The Knot's survey.
Westchester/Hudson Valley couples also like to get away afterward.
According to the study, couples from Louisiana (86%); Alabama (85%); Westchester/Hudson Valley, New York (84%); Philadelphia, Pennsylvania/Delaware (82%); and North Carolina (81%) are most likely to book a honeymoon, while couples in Wyoming (45%), North Dakota (48%) and Montana (48%) are least likely to book one.
Manhattan weddings also nabbed the top spot when it comes to wedding gowns. Brides in Manhattan spent an average of $2,504 on their dresses, more than anywhere else in the country, according to The Knot. The average price nationwide: $1,564.
The Knot pooled its massive base of users to gather the information. Knot users who were married last year were sent a survey shortly after their wedding day to create the nationwide trend data.
