The National Weather Service says a line of strong thunderstorms are moving through Rockland, Westchester and Putnam Counties. At 727 PM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 6 miles northeast of Hopewell Junction to Yorktown Heights to near Oradell. Movement was east at 35 mph.
Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with these storms.
