Things to Do for the First Fall Weekend
Here are some things to do this weekend around Brewster and Southeast.

It looks like it will be a fine fall weekend, the first weekend of Autumn. The leaves are starting to turn and maybe you are looking for something to do. Why not check some of these events out?
· 55th Annual Armonk Outdoor Art Show: More than 185 artists will take part in one of the best art and fine craft fairs in the country and it will start at 10 a.m. at the Community Park at 205 Business Park Drive. A wide variety of mediums including painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture and wearable art will be showcased. The show also features free guided tours, kid friendly activities, a diverse food court and free on-site parking. Proceeds benefit the town’s libraries. Admission is $12. · Fall Harvest Festival: Green Chimneys will hold its Annual Fall Harvest Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the offers fun-filled and educational activities for the entire family! The day begins with a Children’s Harvest Fun Run around the Green Chimneys horse barn and Tom’s Trail. The rest of the day is filled with seasonal activities like pumpkin decorating, hayrides and a hay maze. · Lewisboro Library Fair: The 56th annual Lewisboro Library Fair will be held rain or shine, on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Onatru Farm Town Park. The Fair highlight is the Book Sale, with “Attic Treasures” and Toy sales, a silent auction, food, music, vintage cars, an amazing maze, kids’ games and local vendors. There will be an After-Sale of book and Attic Treasure bargains on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The park is at 99 Elmwood Road in South Salem.
· Hudson Valley Irish Fest: Peekskill’s Riverfront Green Park is the site for the Hudson Valley Irish Fest. There will be music by Irish recording artists Mundy, Aoife Scott, The Narrowbacks and more on two stages! There will also be activities for the children as well as Irish imports, arts, crafts, a food court, historical and artistic displays, a spoken word tent, and more. $10 General Admission; Children under 12, always free.

· Maryknoll Car Cruise and Drive-In: The Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers Car Cruise & Drive-In is the first event in a new series of free Maryknoll community outreach programs that blend entertainment and education about Maryknoll's work in serving the poor around the world. The showcase of older cars begins at 4 p.m. and the owners of older cars will enjoy a screening of “American Grafitti” from their cars at 7:15 p.m. Rain date is Saturday, October 1. · Hawk Watch in Yonkers: The Hudson River Audubon Society will hold a Hawk Watch at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Lenoir Nature Center behind the Lenoir Mansion. Broad-winged hawks will be making their long migration to South America at this time of year. The center is at 19 Dudley Street. For further information, click here.
· String Quartet in Valhalla: The Ariel String Quartet of Israel will perform on Saturday at 8:00 p.m. in the Academic Arts Theatre on the Valhalla campus at Westchester Community College. · Bird Walk in Larchmont: Join the Hudson River Audubon Society of Westchester at 8 a.m. Sunday in the upper parking lot at Larchmont Reservoir. The bird walk will search for fall migrating birds. For further information, click here.
