Tire Fire Lights Up North Bedford Road New Year's Eve

MOUNT KISCO, NY — Firefighters from across Westchester County helped extinguish a blaze at Mavis Tire in Mount Kisco on New Year's Eve.

The fire was in a trailer full of used tires next to the building at 186 North Bedford Road. The road, NY Route 117, was closed for hours.

Independent Fire Co. No. 13 of the Mount Kisco Fire Department was assisted by volunteers from Bedford Hills, Katonah, Ossining and Yorktown at the scene while Chappaqua and Pleasantville covered the village.
