USA Gymnastics New Board Chair, Kathryn Carson, Visits Athletes
At NY State Competition in Chappaqua, NY

USA Gymnastics Board Chair, Kathryn Carson, who resides in Chappaqua, visited World Cup Gymnastics during their state sanctioned meet this past weekend. The I Love Gymnastics Josh Ward Invitational took place on Saturday and Sunday, December 1st and 2nd at 170 Hunts Lane, Chappaqua, NY.
Ms. Carson came to cheer on the gymnasts, talk to some of the athletes, their parents and World Cup management. “We were honored to have Ms. Carson join us on Sunday. She gave us hope that the new governance and management at USA Gymnastics will find a way to help our gymnasts heal and once again be the force that inspires gymnasts to reach high and dream big”, said Jason Hebert, director of World Cup Gymnastics.
World Cup Gymnasts certainly reached high during the event. Tarrytown, NY resident, Senika Manchanda who last season competed as a Level 4 was able to compete at this event as a Level 7. Amazingly, as one of the youngest competitors in her level, she aced the bar routine earning a 9.650 and taking home a 1st place trophy for the event.
