Vassar Starts Looking for New President

The search is on for the successor to Catharine Hill.

The search for a new president has started at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie. The school has formed a panel of representatives to look for a successor to Catharine Hill, who has announced that she will leave at the end of the 2016-2017 school year, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.

Hill gave the college more than a year’s lead time in announcing her departure to allow time for the search for her replacement. The first step will be the formation of a panel of representatives that will include members of the Board of Trustees of Vassar, faculty members, and two students.

Hill became president of Vassar in July 2006. For more details about the selection process, read the Poughkeepsie Journal article here.
