When Will The Rain Stop: Mount Kisco's Weekend Weather

MOUNT KISCO, NY — The leading edge of the cold front pushing into the region is full of storms. Here's what Hudson Valley Weather had to say about it: "Rain. Rain. More Rain."

Plus, gusty winds. The National Weather Service issued a hazardous outlook and wind advisory for possible tree damage and power outages.

Also, by the time it's over on Saturday, snow showers may lightly whiten the mountains of southern New York, said Kristina Pydynowski, AccuWeather senior meteorologist.

Before then we're looking at soaking rain from Friday afternoon into Saturday morning. And look at how temperatures drop.

Here's the weekend forecast from the NWS for northern Westchester:

• Tonight-Showers with a slight chance of thunderstorms. Lows in the mid 50s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 90 percent.
• Saturday-Cloudy with rain likely in the morning, then mostly sunny with a chance of rain in the afternoon. Windy with highs in the mid 50s. West winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph, increasing to 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph in the afternoon. Chance of rain 70 percent.
• Saturday Night-Mostly clear. Much cooler with lows in the mid 30s. West winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 50 mph, becoming northwest around 5 mph with gusts up to 30 mph after midnight.
• Sunday-Sunny. Highs in the mid 50s. Northwest winds around 5 mph in the morning, becoming light and variable.
• Sunday Night-Mostly clear in the evening, then becoming partly cloudy. Lows around 40.
