Winter Storm Threat: Mount Kisco's Work Week Weather

Here's the five-day forecast plus early warning signs for snow around Chappaqua at the end of the week and on the weekend.

MOUNT KISCO, NY — The sun will shine and temperatures will rise above freezing in the beginning of the work week; however, temps will drop back down after midweek. That's also when the threat of winter storms will ramp up across the East Coast.

"While one storm may deliver a swath of snow or wintry mix from the lower Midwest states to the Northeast and mid-Atlantic Thursday into Friday, concern is growing for a more significant winter storm to follow on its heels from Friday into the new weekend," said Kristina Pydynowski, AccuWeather senior meteorologist.

Early signs show potential for substantial accumulation in the Hudson Valley, said Alex Marra and Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather. However, they said, "It’s important to remember that we’re 6 days out, and that a lot can change."
