1 Dead, 1 Hurt In Shooting At Nassau Park
The shooting occurred Saturday afternoon, police say.
FREEPORT, NY — One man was killed and another injured in a shooting at a Nassau County park Saturday afternoon, Nassau police said.
Officers responded to a 911 call for a shooting at Martin Luther King, Jr. Park on Stevens Street in Freeport at 4:37 p.m.
When police arrived, they found two men, ages 21 and 19, with gunshot wounds. who were the The 21-year-old male was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The 19-year-old was listed in stable condition at the hospital. Police did not release their names.
