FREEPORT, NY — A car crash in Freeport has shut down part of Sunrise Highway in the village.

The crash occurred around 3 p.m. in the westbound lanes of Sunrise Highway between Grove Street and N. Ocean Avenue. The westbound lanes of Sunrise Highway are completely shut down in that area.
