Freeport Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting 12-Year-Old Girl

Cecilio Viera-Viera is accused of luring the girl to his car and attacking her, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office said.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — A Freeport man was arrested and charged with luring and sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl.

Cecilio Viera-Viera, 21, met the girl on social media, according to the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office.

Viera-Viera met the girl on June 4 in Jersey City. He's accused of luring the girl into his car and sexually assaulting her, according to the HCPO.

He faces charges of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault by contact, luring and enticing and endangering the welfare of a child.

Viera-Viera was arrested in his Freeport home Wednesday.
