FREEPORT, NY — Another way to usher in the summer and return to normal is having the annual Freeport Nautical Mile open for business. It kicks off with the June 12 festival from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

There are restaurants and bars along Woodcleft Avenue, many waiting for this summer after the difficulties from 2020 with the pandemic.

The festival also features games and rides.
