Freeporter and SUNY Old Westbury Staffer Honored in '30 Under 30' Awards
Young professional recognized for making great strides in her field while exhibiting a commitment to serving Long Island.

Freeport resident Danielle Collins was among the 30 local professionals honored recently in the Long Island Business News “30 Under 30” awards program.
According the publication, the awards program seeks to recognize those professionals who early in their careers have made great strides in their respective fields while also exhibiting a commitment to serving Long Island.
Collins, who serves as assistant director of communications for SUNY Old Westbury, was featured for her work in developing and managing the College’s social media programs, internal and media relations efforts, and other key strategic communications initiatives for Old Westbury. She also was recognized for her service to the community, which includes being a member of the Long Island Association Young Professionals Committee and volunteering support America’s VetDogs, a not-for-profit organization that trains and places guide and service dogs to provide independence, enhanced mobility, and companionship to veterans and first responders with disabilities.

The awards were presented by Long Island Business News, Long Island’s only publication devoted to local commerce and has been the premier source of news and data on business, economic trends and the region’s robust entrepreneurial sector for more than 60 years.
The State University of New York at Old Westbury is a selective public liberal arts college with nearly 5,000 students studying in more than 40 undergraduate degree opportunities in its liberal arts and professional programs and 19 graduate programs in business, education, liberal studies and mental health counseling.
