LI Chamber of Commerce Leader Named to 2020 LI Top Power List

Long Island, New York - City and State Magazine names LI African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (LIAACC) President to 2020 LI Top 100 Power List. City & State’s Long Island Power 100 reflects those shifting political winds, highlighting not only the most powerful political figures in Nassau and Suffolk counties – elected officials, government appointees, business and labor leaders, academics and advocates – but also how they stack up against each other in 2020. This is the 2nd continuous year LIAACC's President has been named to City & State Magazine Long Island's Top 100 Power List.

New York State's largest African American Chamber LIAACC's President Phil Andrews

Phil Andrews heads the Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, the largest organization of its kind in New York, working with Black business owners to ensure they have the tools and resources they need to survive and thrive.

LIAACC's President was the New York District Office of the United States Small Business Administration 2019 Small Business Champion for 14 counties in Downstate, New York which services New York City, Long Island and the downstate counties of Duchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster and Westchester.

LIAACC is also asking the Long Island community to “Buy Black” whenever possible. With the economic slowdown shuttering nearly three times as many Black-owned businesses as white-owned businesses in New York, Andrews’ work is critical.
