Nassau Coliseum, Modell's Donate Goods To Freeport Youth Soccer

The newly formed Freeport Futbol Club will be able to use brand new equipment to the this season.

From NYCB LIVE: NYCB LIVE, home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, in partnership with Modell’s, donated $1,000 worth of new soccer equipment to the Freeport Village Futbol Club. The club is celebrating its third year with the addition of two co-ed U9 teams this fall. As parent and volunteer-led effort, Freeport Futbol relies on fundraising and donations to help facilitate sports clinics, conduct intramural practices, participate in regional and state tournament and continue to build pride in Freeport community.

Freeport Village Futbol Club players and coaches, Choice for All CEO, Jacob Dixon and NYCB LIVE Community Relations Manager, Emily Panasowich gathered around the donated equipment before breaking into an impromptu game on the Coliseum Plaza.

NYCB LIVE Cares, the community programming arm of the Coliseum strives to harness the power of sports and entertainment to make an impact in the Long Island community. The donation, which comprised of over 70 pieces of equipment, from full-sized goals to coaches clipboards, will help the Freeport Village Futbol Club continue to provide constructive physical activity through the love of soccer.

Youth players with Freeport Village Futbol Club were all smiles after receiving new soccer equipment from NYCB LIVE and Modell’s.

Jason Dixon, CEO of Choice for All, the administrative body for Freeport Futbol club stated, "We thank NYCB LIVE and Modell’s for the generous donation of sport equipment to our newly formed team in the Freeport Village Futbol Club. Home to over 250 participants, the club is completely volunteer run by parents committed to providing a safe space for Freeport's children through the love of soccer. The donation will directly help the team begin this Fall with sports clinics, practices and regional tournaments. We look forward to building a long term partnership with NYCB LIVE."
