Nassau Officers Catch Man In Middle Of Robbing Deli: Police
Police say the man broke a window to get into the deli, and was in the middle of breaking into the cash register when officers arrived.

FREEPORT, NY — A Roosevelt man was arrested on Monday after police say he was caught robbing a Freeport business.
According to police, officers on patrol were flagged down by a person at 10:15 p.m. who said someone was breaking into the Lucky Deli and Grill, located at 453A North Main St. When the officers arrived, police say they found broken glass at the front of the deli and a man standing behind the cash register.
Police say the man — who was identified as Dvaille Williams, 25, of Ellison Avenue — ignored the officers' commands to leave the store. Emergency Services Units and K-9 units responded, and police arrested Williams.

Williams is charged with third-degree burglary and second-degree criminal mischief. He is scheduled to be arraigned today.
