Suffolk Man Charged In Murder Of Nassau Teen: Police

Police say they have arrested a man in connection with the murder of 19-year-old Daniel Garcia-Carbajal.

FREEPORT, NY — Nassau County police arrested a Suffolk man for the murder of a teen whose body was found in a park in Freeport last month.

According to police, the body of 19-year-old Daniel Garcia-Carbajal was found in Cow Meadow Park in Freeport on March 4. Police said he was killed by a gunshot.

On April 13, police arrested Tulio O. Ayala, 43, of Central Islip, in connection with the murder.

Ayala is charged with second-degree murder and first-degree conspiracy. He is scheduled to be arraigned later today.
