2 More Arrested In Connection W/ Cow Meadow Park Killing: Police

The body of 19-year-old Daniel Garcia-Carbajal was found in the Freeport park with a gunshot wound in March, police say.

FREEPORT, NY — Two more men have been charged in connection with a March killing at Cow Meadow Park in Freeport, Nassau police said. The body of Daniel Garcia-Carbajal, 19, was found with a gunshot wound on March 4, police said.

Manuel Aparicio Gomez, 22, of Hempstead, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and first-degree conspiracy.

Edgardo Caballero, 18, of Far Rockaway, was arrested and charged with first-degree conspiracy.

Gomez and Caballero were scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Mineola.

Police previously charged Tulio O. Ayala, 42, of Central Islip, with second-degree murder and first-degree conspiracy. He was arraigned on April 14.
