Billy Joel To Rock New Year's Eve At Nassau Coliseum

Billy Joel is coming home to Nassau Coliseum once again, this time for a New Year's Eve show to mark the 25th anniversary of the last time he played the venue on New Year's Eve.
The concert will be the 34th show at Nassau Coliseum for the Long Island native. His last show there was on April 5, 2017, when Joel opened the renovated coliseum to a sold-out audience. In 1998, Joel sold out nine shows, setting the venue’s record for the most sellouts in one year.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, Sept. 14 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com, NYCBLIVE.com, or by calling 1-800-745-3000. Tickets can also be purchased at the Ticketmaster Box Office at the Coliseum beginning Sunday, Sept. 16 at noon (if tickets are still available). In 2014, he received The Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song, which honors living musical artists’ lifetime achievement in promoting the genre of song as a vehicle of cultural understanding, entertaining and informing audiences, and inspiring new generations. He also received the once-in-a-century ASCAP Centennial Award, which is presented to American music icons in recognition of their incomparable accomplishments in their respective music genres and beyond.
