Garden City Library Holding Blood Drive On Jan. 5

Residents are encouraged to donate, as there is a critical shortage of blood in area hospitals.

GARDEN CITY, NY — A blood drive is being held at the Garden City Public Library on Jan. 5, and residents are encouraged to donate.

Long Island Blood Services will be holding the drive from 1 to 7 p.m. in the large meeting room on the library's lower level. The library is located at 60 7th St.

Area hospitals are in critical need of blood. Every donation is meaningful, and could save someone's life.
