Garden City Park Company Lays Off 215 Due To Coronavirus
Coffee Distribution Corp. laid off more than half of its workforce, according to filings with the state.

GARDEN CITY PARK, NY — A coffee distribution company has laid off hundreds of workers because of the coronavirus, according to filings with the state.
Coffee Distribution Corp., based in Garden City Park, laid off 215 employees this week, according to documents filed with the state Department of Labor. The layoffs are more than half of the company's nearly 400 employees.
The company cited "unforeseeable business circumstances prompted by COVID-19" as the reason for the layoffs.
