Garden City Residents Recognized at Kellenberg

The following Garden City residents, who are all students at Kellenberg High School, were recently honored:

• Garden City resident and Kellenberg sophomore Camryn Casey was awarded the Most improved Player award for the Kellenberg Junior Varsity cheerleading team. Each season the coaches of all of the Kellenberg teams choose one athlete who stands out as an athlete that has worked hard to improve themselves in their chosen sport. Camryn Casey‘s effort over the course of the junior varsity cheerleading season has set her apart as an athlete worthy of recognition for her improvement.

• Garden City resident and Kellenberg sophomore Ian Driscoll has been awarded the Kellenberg Junior Varsity Football Commitment Award for outstanding effort and devotion to the Junior Varsity Football team. Each season coaches of Kellenberg sports pick one player from their team who has demonstrated remarkable commitment to the team through their hard work and actions at practice and in competition. Ian Driscoll has earned the Commitment Award through his hard work and dedication to the team.

• Garden City resident and Kellenberg senior Kyle Driscoll has been awarded the Kellenberg Varsity Football Commitment Award for outstanding effort and devotion to the Varsity Football team. Each season coaches of Kellenberg sports pick one player from their team who has demonstrated remarkable commitment to the team through their hard work and actions at practice and in competition. Kyle Driscoll has earned the Commitment Award through his hard work and dedication to the team.

• Garden City resident and Kellenberg senior Elizabeth Bennett was a lead in this year’s Kellenberg Memorial Drama Club Production of “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.” Elizabeth was chosen from dozens of students to play the supporting role of “Mrs. Potts” where she performed in three shows to over 2,000 people.
