GC Boys Tennis Defeats Bellmore JFK
The GC boys won 6-1 over Bellmore JFK highlighted by a couple of singles victories and two doubles wins.
Garden City boys are enjoying the new playing surfaces of the tennis courts as they easily defeated the team from Bellmore JFK.
The Doubles 1 pairing of seniors Micah Bozkurtain and Ben Woo won their match in 2 sets, highlighted by overpowering serves from Bozkurtain and some quick footwork and hands at the net from Woo.
While second doubles team of seniors Drew Joseph and Matt Joseph won their first match as doubles partners. Drew and Matt played well together forcing several errors from their opponents with good strong on their volleys.

On the court playing singles were freshmen Dylan Coonerty and Ryan Lawson, and junior Jason Li. Coonerty won his match playing first singles with some well placed return volleys and solid serves. In second singles, Li lost a tough match in a tie breaker although he looked excellent with good spin on his returns. And in third singles it was freshman Lawson coming through with a strong performance for the win.

The boys face Clarke HS for their final match of the season, at home, on May 25th.
