Guide To Takeout And Delivery During Coronavirus Shutdowns

GARDEN CITY, NY — On Monday night at 8 p.m. New York State restaurants and bars closed their dining rooms to help slow the spread of coronavirus. But Garden City and Rockville Centre area restaurants are offering more delivery and takeout options as they try to stay open during the pandemic.

Residents interested in helping support small businesses during the COVID-19 shutdown period can order food at these establishments. Businesses across Long Island are offering expanded delivery; some are organizing curbside pickup and others will bring orders to customers' cars.

Healthy eatery Organic Krush is offering free delivery through DoorDash at all their locations as well as "a no-contact" pickup method and curbside pickup. They will be open from 9 a.m.until 5 p.m on weekdays and until 4 p.m. on weekends.

Burgerology Rockville Centre is open for pickup or delivery from third-party apps. They will be operating from 11:30 a.m. until midnight.

Chadwicks American Chophouse is accepting orders for delivery or pickup Tuesday through Sunday.

Bonefish Grill has stayed open for carryout orders or delivery though Uber Eats or DoorDash. DoorDash is now giving customers a new "no-contact" delivery option.

Dirty Taco + Tequila has a delivery and pickup menu of tacos and margaritas. Delivery is free in Rockville Centre and Wantagh.

Plancha Tapas and Wine Bar has created a "lockdown special" list of cocktails for delivery and pickup along with their meat and cheese boards and other menu items.

Waterzooi Belgian Bistro is staying open and offering free delivery to Garden City and Port Washington. The bistro will take orders from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m. and is giving away a $10 gift card with every $50 gift card purchase.

Novita Wine Bar & Trattoria will also deliver for free within Garden City from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Rustica Brick Oven Cafe is doing free delivery until 10 p.m. of their brick oven pizzas, and now able to include alcoholic drinks. The restaurant is currently offering ten percent off the entire menu.
