Hofstra Grad Dies After Collapsing On Basketball Court
Zeke Upshaw played professionally for the Grand Rapids Drive. He was 26.

Zeke Upshaw, a player for the Grand Rapids Drive in Michigan, collapsed on the court during a game with the Long Island Nets on Saturday, and died a day later. He was 26.
Upshaw was not a Long Island native, but he graduated from Hofstra University, where he attended his senior year. He spent his first three years of college at Illinois State.
Upshaw reportedly collapsed on the court with seconds left in the game and was rushed to Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids. He died Monday morning.

"The Drive family is mourning the tragic loss of Zeke Upshaw," the team said in a statement. "He had a warm personality and was a tremendous representative of our organization both on and off the court. Our thoughts are with all of Zeke’s family and friends during this difficult time."
