Hundreds Still Without Power In Hempstead Town
Wednesday's nor'easter knocked out power for thousands of people, and many are still without electricity.

PSEG Long Island reports that thousands of people across Long Island, including hundreds in the Town of Hemsptead, are still without power after Wednesday's nor'easter that brought rain, wind and heavy snow to the area.
In Hempstead Town, there are still 729 people without power, according to PSEG's numbers. According to PSEG, the outages are affecting less than one percent of the 267,652 customers in the Town of Hempstead. PSEG says there are nearly 2,000 outages right now across Long Island, affecting 13,148 customers.
Some Hempstead Town communities were hit harder than others. The majority of the outages are concentrated in East Meadow, Salisbury, Levittown and Wantagh. PSEG estimates to have power restored to everyone by tomorrow afternoon, with the harder-hit areas taking longer to restore.
