Larocca Named Chief Strategic Relations Officer at SterlingRisk
Garden City's Robert Larocca will broaden carrier relationships and strengthen SterlingRisk relationships at every level.

SterlingRisk Insurance, one of the nation’s top independently owned insurance brokerages, has announced the promotion of Robert F. Larocca to Chief Strategic Relations Officer. Larocca, who began his career at SterlingRisk in 1999 and enjoys strong ties throughout the insurance community, will retain his title of Executive Vice President and continue to report directly to SterlingRisk CEO David Sterling.

Larocca regularly interacts with insurers at the senior level and sits on several broker advisory boards. Industries that benefit from his far-reaching relationships and experience include human services, real estate, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, and professional services. Larocca also meets the insurance needs of high net-worth individuals and families. Backed by SterlingRisk’s various business units, he is recognized for delivering exceptional client service.

Prior to joining SterlingRisk, Larocca held the position of Long Island Branch Manager for American International Group (AIG) after having served as Assistant Vice President at Johnson & Higgins. He began his career in 1991 as an insurance broker with Marsh & McLennan in New York. A 1990 graduate of LIU Post, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business.
Larocca is a tireless supporter of many local and national organizations. He is a current member of The Nassau County Police Reserves and serves on the boards of RiskProNet, an international network of U.S. based Insurance Brokerages, and the Council for Insuring Private Clients (CIPC). A former board member of The Theodore Roosevelt Council of the Boy Scouts of America, Larocca currently serves on the board of directors for The Mental Health Association of Nassau County and Nassau County Law Enforcement Exploring.
