LI High Schoolers Make Special New Kids On The Block Mashup

The Uniondale High School Show Choir teamed up with Nassau Coliseum to produce a special New Kids on the Block mashup video in celebration of the group's upcoming performance at the Coliseum.

The New Kids on the Block are coming to Nassau Coliseum on June 3o with their "Mixtape" tour. To celebrate, the Uniondale Rhythm of the Knight choir created an original mashup of two New Kids hits: "Hangin' Tough" and "The Right Stuff."

The video, which was filmed at the Coliseum on Jan. 16, premiered there on March 5 during the New York Islanders game.

Rhythm of the Knight was founded in 2010 at Uniondale High School, and the group is currently in its seventh year of competing nationally. They are 2018 Grand Champions of the Fame Show Choir National Championship Series. They won 2019 Grand Champion in New York and 2018 Grand Champion at the Show Choir of America in Orlando, Florida. The choir has been featured on NBC Today Show, CNN, Fox 5 and Friends, and Good Day NY.

The choir was also the first group to perform at the renovated Nassau Coliseum at a ceremony celebrating the re-opening of the venue on March 30, 2017. They also performed live at the Coliseum with Barry Manilow three times in 2017, and had an in-game performance during a Long Island Nets game that same year.
