LI Marketing Networking Group Continues To Grow
Collaboration, strategic meetings, social events and networking are part of the marking mix.

The Long Island Marketing Networking Group continues to benefit from the ongoing excitement that steadily has empowered the local marketing communications profession within the last decade. Ongoing membership growth attests to the group's informative and engaging programs along with the many opportunities for members to collaborate with fellow professionals working and living on Long Island.
Under the leadership of Larry Drago and Kevin Simms, the group welcomed 37 marketing, advertising, public relations and communications professionals last year. The more than 200 Nassau and Suffolk county members include marketing agency principals, client-side professionals, corporate marketers and independent consultants. Word of mouth, search engine optimization (SEO) and public relations efforts are capturing the attention of these professionals.
"I'm pleased to say that the LI Marketing Networking Group has grown significantly over the past 12 months," said Group Founder and Chairperson Larry Drago. "The rise in membership has fostered increased collaboration and networking for members, as well as greater engagement within the meetings themselves. We look forward to keeping the group on a growth path in 2020."

Branding And Image
With many talented marketers and communicators as members, the organization decided to advance its branding efforts during 2019. A new logo focuses on the networking aspect of the group encapsulated within a silhouette of Long Island.

"Our Marketing Group finally has a logo that assists with branding and defining the group's image," added Drago. "The LI Marketing Networking Group has always drawn its members from Nassau and Suffolk counties, and our goal is to continue to attract even more marketing, public relations and communications professionals who live and work here on Long Island. The logo provides consistent branding, so that target professionals will know who we are and how we can help their careers with continual learning and networking."
Drago and Vice-Chairperson Kevin Simms, who handled the design work for the logo, have collaborated on membership recruitment and more compelling copy/imagery for the monthly meetings.
"It's funny how for a marketing organization we never bothered to focus on branding the group until last year," said Simms. "It's been a fun project that has definitely elevated the group's image and exposure so we can bring even more opportunities for member growth and education. I'm excited for what lies ahead!"
