LIRR Suspends Service Between Hempstead And Garden City
If the weather doesn't improve, Garden City commuters could have a long night ahead of them.
The LIRR announced at 11:30 a.m. that service on the Hempstead Branch was being suspended between the Hempstead and Garden City stations.
The LIRR said the cause of the suspension was weather-related switch trouble.
Commuters were advised to take the Ronkonkoma Line to the Mineola station as an alternate.
