Meadowbrook Parkway Crash Kills 2
The Sunday afternoon crash involved four vehicles, police say.

GARDEN CITY, NY – Two people were killed in a four-car crash on the Meadowbrook State Parkway in Garden City Sunday afternoon, State Police said.
According to police, 22-year-old Thomas Bochichio was driving a BMW X5 northbound near Exit M1–Old Country Road when his car struck a a 2018 Honda Civic just before 2 p.m. The Honda exited the parkway onto the right shoulder, where it struck a steel light police.
The BMW continued northbound and struck a 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser and a 2017 GMC Acadia that were also traveling northbound. The GMC was forced into the center median where it came to rest. Both the BMW and Chrysler then continued a short distance northbound and came to rest in the center of the roadway.

The driver of the Chrysler, 23-year-old Samantha Shaw, of Westbury, and front seat passenger, 24-year-old Timothy Lafferty, of Syosset, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Bochichio, of Massapequa Park, was taken to Winthrop University Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
No criminal charges have been filed at this time, but police are continuing their investigation into the crash. They are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact State Police Farmingdale at 631-756-3300.
