Mets Holding Youth Baseball Clinic At Nassau Coliseum

Sign up now for the clinic, which has very limited space available. Participants will meet Tim Teufel and Nelson Figueroa.

The Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum will host a second annual youth baseball clinic featuring Mets legends Tim Teufel and Nelson Figueroa on Saturday, Aug. 4.

Kids ages 7 to 10 can attend the early session held from 9 to 10:45 a.m., and kids 11 to 14 can attend the second session from 10 to 1:45 a.m. The clinics will be held in the Coliseum's Exhibition Hall. Admission is $50 per attendee and limited to 200 total participants, 100 per session.

During the event, kids will have the opportunity to meet, get autographs from, and take photos with Teufel and Figueroa.

Teufel is a former second baseman and was a key member of the Mets’ 1986 World Championship team. He is in his first season as a Club Ambassador and also serves as the Mets’ minor league infield coordinator.

Figueroa is a former pitcher for the Mets and is currently a post-game studio analyst for New York Mets broadcasts on SNY.

The clinics will consist of hitting, fielding and pitching drills, and will feature talks led by the Mets alums.

Tickets for the youth baseball clinic are available for purchase at the NY Mets Baseball Clinic Registration site. Groups of eight or more are eligible for a $40 group discount. Please email grouptickets@bse.nassaucoliseum.com for more information.
