Nassau Coliseum Hosting Special Mega Hanukkah Celebration
The event will kick off the Festival of Lights with a special Nets game, a concert by Yoni Z and fun events for the whole family.

Nassau coliseum will host this year’s Long Island Mega Chanukah Bash on Sunday, Dec. 2, leading into the first night of the eight-day holiday.
Jewish Heritage Celebration with the Long Island Nets will kick off the fun-filled family festivities featuring kosher stadium food, a half-time rabbis vs. teens basketball game, and an on-court menorah lighting ceremony. Following the game will be a live concert with internationally acclaimed Jewish music sensation Yoni Z and an indoor carnival with fun for the whole family, all at an affordable price.
“The message of Hanukkah is the message of light,” added Rabbi Yossi Lieberman, co-director of Chabad of West Hempstead and the event’s organizer. “The nature of light is that it is always victorious over darkness. A small amount of light dispels a lot of darkness. Another act of goodness and kindness, another act of light, makes all the difference.”
