Nearby: Clinton Street Gas Station Robbed at Gunpoint

Two black men fled the station after obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

The Shamrock gas station just outside the village on Clinton Street was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday, according to Nassau County Third Squad detectives.

According to police, two African American men, both wearing masks covering their faces, entered the Shamrock gas station located at 404 Clinton Street in Hempstead around 5:15 p.m. and demanded cash from the manager. One of the suspects was armed with a handgun, police said. After opening the register, the suspects removed an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the station southbound on Clinton Street.

The uninjured victim, age 25, described one of the men as being 6’ tall and wearing dark clothing, police said, but was unable to describe the other.
