New Garden City Whole Foods Store Opens

The 57,000 square foot store is the fifth location the chain opened on Long Island, and its largest.

GARDEN CITY, NY — Whole Foods has opened a new market in Garden City this week, making it the fifth location for the retailer on Long Island.

The new store, located at 867 East Gate Blvd., is a brand new 57,000 square foot store. The chain already has stores in Lake Grove, Commack, Jericho and Manhasset.

Whole Foods said the store is feature national and local brands. Flowers in the store come from Plainview Growers, and the store is also selling beer from Long Island breweries.

The store is open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day.
