Papyrus Stationery Closing Only Long Island Location
The store's parent company announced that it was shuttering all Papyrus stores nationwide.
It was announced last week that Papyrus stationery stores would be closing nationwide, which will mean the end for the sole Long Island store in Garden City.
According to Retail Dive, Papyrus's parent company Schurman Retail Group announced the closing in a letter to employees on Jan. 17.
The retailers sole Long Island location is in the Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City. There's no word yet when the store will officially close, but there are already sales underway to move merchandise.

In the letter to employees, Schurman Retail Group COO Dominique Schurman said the closings were due to the "current challenges of the retail industry," according to Retail Dive.
