GARDEN CITY, NY — A rally is planned for Garden City on Friday protest the recent cancellation of all 2020 sports in Nassau County schools.

It was announced on Wednesday that all Nassau County sports were canceled this year, and that the Fall, Winter and Spring seasons would all be played in 2021.

In response, a protest is planned at the Nassau BOCES Administration Center, located at 71 Clinton Rd. in Garden City, at 10 a.m. A Facebook event was created for the protest, and more than 300 people have already signed up to attend. It is being organized by the group Let Them Play, which is a parent group that wants their children to be able to pay sports this Fall.
