Rice Calls On Trump To Be Removed From Office After Capital Riot
The congresswoman accused the president of inciting "a domestic terror attack on the Capitol" and urged the 25th Amendment be invoked.

GARDEN CITY, NY — Following the riot at the Capitol building in Washington Wednesday, Long Island's Representative Kathleen Rice has called for President Donald Trump to be removed from office.
Rice, a Democrat from Garden City, was among all the members of Congress who were evacuated after rioters, spurred by Trump, stormed the Capitol and laid siege to it for hours. Afterward, Rice tweeted that Trump "incited a domestic terror attack on the Capitol" and should be removed from office.
The President incited a domestic terror attack on the Capitol. He is an imminent threat to our democracy and he needs to be removed from office immediately. The Cabinet must invoke the 25th Amendment.

The 25th Amendment allows the vice president and a majority of the Cabinet to remove the president from office, making the vice president the acting president.
