More than 30 swimmers participated in this year's event.

Swim Across America (SAA) returned July 19 to the Garden City Pool where 30+ swimmers raised more than $6,000 for cancer research.

Proceeds raised fund cancer research at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, the Cold Spring Harbor Lab, the SAA Stacey Leondis Fellowship at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, the Feinstein Institute of North Shore-LIJ, as well assisting in the funding of the MIRACLE Foundation Pavilion at Mercy Medical Center and Fighting Chance.

Big thanks to all the SAA volunteers, the Garden City Recreation Department, Grace Chianese and all the Garden City Pool staff.
