Third Man Arrested For Theft Of Instruments From Nassau School
Police say he helped another man break into Carle Place High School to steal instruments.
CARLE PLACE, NY — A third man was arrested for the theft of musical instruments from Carle Place High School, Nassau County police said Wednesday.
Police say Ulysseus Gillian-Smith, 27, of Hayward Street, Brentwood, helped break into Carle Place High School on June 10 with Jarrett Boyarsky, 27, of 5th Avenue, Westbury. Police say the two stole musical instruments.
Police had previously arrested Boyarsky and another man — Gem Hattat, 27, of Willow Lane, Lindenhurst — as they were attempting to break into Rushmore Elementary School in Carle Place on June 21, police said. The two had also broken into Carle Place High School on June 4 and stole instruments, according to police.

Gillian-Smith was charged with third-degree burglary and fourth-degree grand larceny. He is scheduled to be arraigned later today.
Boyarsky was charged with two counts of third-degree burglary and two counts of attempted third-degree burglary, and Hattat was charged with third-degree burglary and three counts of attempted third-degree burglary. They were both arraigned on June 22 and released on their own recognizance.
