Village Board Agenda: Jan. 9

Find out what Garden City village trustees will be discussing at tonight's board meeting.

Board approval of a volunteer firefighter, the adoption of a salary schedule for part-time and seasonal employees of the village and bid awards for the replacement of a cooling tower at village hall and tree removal and pruning throughout the village are among the issues included on Thursday's village board meeting agenda.

Trustees are also likely to discuss the abatement and deconstruction of Ellis Hall. Airtek Environmental Corp. of Long Island City is expected to aid in the preparation of specifications for the work at an approximate cost of $3,500 for Task I.

Phase III of the roller rink replacement project (precast concrete restroom facility) is also up for discussion at tonight's meeting.

Further, John Schultz submitted a letter of resignation from the Garden City Library Board of Trustees, effective Dec. 4.
