West Hempstead Bank Robbed
Police released a photo of a man who robbed Bank of America Tuesday afternoon.

Nassau Police released a photo of a man they say robbed a West Hempstead bank Tuesday afternoon.
At 1:01 p.m., a man verbally demanded money from a teller at Bank of America, located at 60 Hempstead Ave., police said. The teller cooperated and and handed an unknown amount of cash to the man, who fled east on foot down Hempstead Avenue, police said.
Four employees were inside the bank at the time, officials said. No one was injured.

The man was described as black, 5-foot-5, in his 30s, thin build, and unshaven. He was wearing a tan shirt at the time, police said.
Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
