Woman Charged In Nassau Motel Murder: Police
Police say Ruth Toussaint murdered 28-year-old Desiree Lavender in a motel room in Floral Park.
FLORAL PARK, NY — Nassau County police arrested a woman and charged her with the murder of another woman in a Floral Park motel room on June 13.
According to police, 28-year-old Destinee Lavender, of Elmont, was found dead in a room at the Floral Park Motel, located at 30 Jericho Turnpike, at 1:10 p.m.
On June 15, police arrested 34-year-old Ruth Toussaint, also of Elmont, for the murder. Toussaint is charged with second-degree murder. She is scheduled to be arraigned later today.
